About Greater Noida

Why visit

the youngest and most spaciously planned corner of the National Capital Region, a grid of broad expressways, gated campuses and exhibition grounds laid out across former farmland south-east of Noida; for the traveller its draw is modern and practical, with a Formula-style racing circuit, India's largest exhibition centre, a fast driverless metro, and, since June 2026, a brand-new international airport at nearby Jewar

Pure-veg food trail

an easy city for the vegetarian traveller, built around mall food courts, campus cafés and modern thali restaurants; the dining clusters near Pari Chowk and the Alpha and Gamma commercial belts gather pure-vegetarian South Indian, chaat and North Indian counters, while the big exhibition crowds are fed by reliable vegetarian buffets through expo season

Top sights

  • the Buddh International Circuit, India's Formula-1 track, which today hosts national racing championships and track days after the grand-prix years
  • the sprawling India Expo Mart, the country's largest exhibition and convention centre
  • the leafy campus of Gautam Buddha University with its Buddhist-style stupa architecture
  • the roundabout gardens of Pari Chowk at the city's heart
  • and Knowledge Park, the belt of universities and colleges that gives the young city its large student population

Best season

  • October to March, when the open, shade-thin city is cool and comfortable and the exhibition calendar is busiest
  • the summer from April to June is dry and harsh
  • the winter weeks carry the Delhi NCR air-quality advisory

Getting around

  • the driverless Aqua Line metro links Greater Noida to Noida and, via the Sector 52 interchange, to the Delhi Metro Blue Line, with stops including Knowledge Park II, Pari Chowk, Alpha-1 and Delta-1
  • the Noida-Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressways speed cars across the region
  • and the new Noida International Airport at Jewar, which opened to commercial flights in June 2026, adds a second gateway to the whole NCR
