TasteYatra is an independent vegetarian food and travel guide, written in English. This page explains how a guide is put together, what we will not publish, and how to tell us when something is wrong. It is the standard we hold the site to.
What a page is for
A page answers a practical question: where to eat, what a place is like, how to reach it, what it costs to enter, and what to watch for. We write for someone planning a trip, in plain language, and we name the city the place is actually in. We do not write a page just to repeat the title. If we do not have enough checked detail to be useful, we do not publish the page.
Vegetarian and alcohol-free
Every restaurant, dish, and food suggestion on TasteYatra is vegetarian. We do not feature meat, poultry, or seafood, and we do not feature alcoholic drinks. A kitchen can change. If you avoid particular ingredients, or you need a kitchen that cooks only vegetarian food, confirm that with the place before you go. Faith, diet, and allergy needs are yours to judge. We do not decide them for you.
How we check a guide
We start from public information about a place: what it is, where it sits, and the practical facts a visitor needs. We cross-check those facts and we rewrite them in our own words. We do not copy another guide. Opening hours, ticket prices, and menus move, so a page states them as guidance and points you to confirm them. When two sources disagree, we say what we can stand behind and we leave out the rest.
We do not invent a price, a timing, or a claim that a place is the oldest, the largest, or the best. Superlatives stay out unless the page can support them. Safety notes are practical and specific. They are not a promise that a trip will be uneventful, and they are not a substitute for local advice on the day.
Independence and advertising
TasteYatra is not a tourism board, a temple trust, a hotel, or a restaurant. A place appears because it belongs in the guide, not because it paid to be here. We are not affiliated with the venues we describe. Names are used so you can find the place.
Some pages show advertising from Google AdSense. An advertisement is not a recommendation, and it does not decide which places we cover or how we describe them. We do not sell placements inside a guide.
Pictures
Pictures on the site are illustrations of a kind of place, not photographs of the named place. The small “i” on a picture says so. Read the full account on our disclaimer. Do not treat a picture as evidence of what a building, a dish, or a street looks like today.
Ask TasteYatra
When the question box is available, it writes a reply automatically. That reply is a starting point. It is not a published guide, and it can be incomplete. The pages of this site are the record we edit and correct. Confirm anything that would change your plan with the place itself.
Corrections
If a fact is out of date, a place has closed, or a kitchen is no longer suitable for the way you eat, write to contact@tasteyatra.com with the page address and what should change. We read corrections and we update the guide when the new information checks out. You can also use the contact page.
What this site is not
TasteYatra is not medical, legal, or financial advice, and it is not an official government travel advisory. Read our about page, disclaimer, and terms alongside this policy.
