Resham Dhaba is one of the Murthal strip's most-loved pure-vegetarian institutions — a family dhaba on NH-44 (GT Road) at Bhigan Chowk, feeding highway travellers since 1960. Founded by Sardar Mahinder Singh and named after his son Resham Singh, it is now run by his grandsons. It has gone viral as much for the theatre as the food: an upstairs floor with a novelty toy-train food delivery and a children's play zone. At its heart is honest vegetarian fare — dal makhani slow-cooked overnight, ghee-laden tandoori parathas including one of the strip's largest, malai kofta and paneer, and jalebi with rabri. Wholly vegetarian and alcohol-free, open around the clock.

Pro Tip

Head upstairs for the toy-train food delivery that children love, and order the overnight dal makhani with the oversized signature paratha. Prices are approximate and change seasonally.
