Pahalwan Veg Dhaba wears its promise in its name: a wholly vegetarian kitchen on the Murthal strip, serving the road's signature stuffed tandoori parathas with generous white butter. The menu runs through aloo, gobi, mooli and paneer parathas, hearty dal and seasonal vegetables, and the obligatory tall lassi, at honest highway prices. A large, comfortable dhaba with both air-conditioned and open-air seating and ample parking, it is an easygoing favourite of regulars who want the same buttered-paratha ritual in a slightly calmer setting than the busiest flagship counters. Like the rest of the strip it keeps long hours for late-night and early-morning travellers.
