How to Reach: Sarnath lies about 10 km northeast of Varanasi city and roughly 9 km from Varanasi Junction (BSB) railway station. From the ghats or the station, take an auto-rickshaw, taxi or app-cab (25-45 minutes depending on traffic); shared autos also run along the Sarnath road. Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport is about 25 km to the west. Varanasi has no metro, so road transport is the only option — arrange your return cab in advance, as autos thin out after the evening show ends in the dark.
