Bhutnath Mahadev Temple

Tucked into the everyday rhythm of Porbandar — the seaside Gujarati town best known as the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi — the Bhutnath Mahadev Temple is a quiet, long-loved neighbourhood shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva in his form as Bhutnath, "lord of all beings." Unlike the grand pilgrimage temples of the wider Dwarka circuit, this is a working local Mahadev mandir: modest in scale, unhurried in mood, and woven into the devotional routine of the families who live around it.
