Pushpadanteshwar Mahadev Temple

Pushpadanteshwar Mahadev is one of the small but storied Shiva shrines that together make up Ujjain's revered Chaurasi Mahadev — the traditional circuit of eighty-four Mahadev lingams scattered through the old temple-city on the Shipra (Kshipra) river.

• Pilgrims who set out to complete the full circuit, an act of devotion woven deep into Ujjain's Shaiva identity, count this shrine among the later stops, and it carries one of the most poetic legends of them all.
