G5A Warehouse

The operator connects the warehouse with the area's literary, theatrical and popular-art traditions shaped during the mill era. Notice the relationship between the working-estate approach and the performance space, while keeping any exploration within areas open to visitors. The estate remains more than a single public cultural building.

Begin with the current calendar and choose the performance, discussion or activity you want to attend. Some events use donor passes. Check the event's duration, language and entry conditions directly, rather than assuming that arrival at the warehouse includes a performance or unrestricted access to the Black Box.

The published address is G-5/A, Laxmi Mills Estate, Shakti Mills Lane, off Dr E Moses Road, Mahalaxmi West, Mumbai 400011. The operator identifies Mahalaxmi and Lower Parel stations as nearby rail approaches. Save the centre's directions through the estate so that the final turn is clear before you arrive.

Seating in the Black Box is first-come, first-served, and the operator asks visitors to arrive fifteen minutes before the show. Bags are checked. Phones are not used inside the Black Box or Study, and recording is not permitted unless specifically authorised. Follow the policy attached to your event.

G5A describes itself as a vegetarian space. Outside food and drinks are not permitted, and refreshments including water stay outside the Black Box. Plan your break before taking a seat, and ask the team about current permitted areas if you need to manage refreshments during a longer programme.
