Parking
on-site · Free
Parking is provided on the mandir campus and is generally free, in keeping with BAPS practice of not charging visitors. It fills on festival days and Sunday evenings, when overflow parking spills onto the surrounding Chitrakoot streets.
🚕 Ride Hailing Tip: App cabs and autos are easy to get to the mandir but thin out around the campus after the 8.15pm closing, especially once the evening crowd disperses. Book your return ride before you head in, or walk out to the main Chitrakoot road where autos wait. Ask for 'Akshardham, Chitrakoot' — asking simply for 'Akshardham' occasionally confuses drivers used to ferrying tourists.
How to Reach: The mandir stands on Mahant Swami Maharaj Marg, opposite Chitrakoot Sector 9 in Vaishali Nagar, on Jaipur's western edge — roughly 9 km from Jaipur Junction railway station, 10 km from the Sindhi Camp bus stand and about 14 km from Jaipur International Airport. An auto-rickshaw or app cab from the MI Road / C Scheme area takes 25–35 minutes depending on traffic; drivers know it as 'Akshardham' or 'Swaminarayan Mandir, Chitrakoot'. City buses run along the Vaishali Nagar corridor, but for most visitors a cab is simpler. The Jaipur Metro does not usefully reach Chitrakoot: the nearest Pink Line stations, Shyam Nagar and Mansarovar, are each roughly 3–4 km away and need an auto to finish the trip.
