Tau Devi Lal Town Park — known to everyone simply as Town Park — is Faridabad's largest and best-known city park, a big landscaped green space in Sector 12, the city's administrative core near the HUDA Complex. Laid out and maintained by HUDA (the Haryana Urban Development Authority), it was created as a green lung for the rapidly industrialising city, so its appeal is civic and recreational rather than ancient, and it is named in honour of Chaudhary Devi Lal ('Tau Devi Lal'), a former Deputy Prime Minister of India and Haryana Chief Minister.
