• For food, the jetty market is lined with pure-vegetarian snack stalls turning out classic Gujarati fare: crisp fafda and jalebi, gathiya, ganthiya, sev-based chaats, hot bhajiya and cutting chai, all reliably meat-free in this deeply devotional setting.
• Many pilgrims simply eat the temple prasad.
• For a proper sit-down meal, the pure-veg Gujarati and Kathiyawadi thali restaurants clustered near the Okha jetty on the mainland are the safest, most satisfying bet before or after the boat ride.
