About Ayodhya–Prayagraj Spiritual Circuit
India's most historically and spiritually significant pilgrimage circuit, combining the Ram Janmabhoomi (Ayodhya — consecrated 2024, India's fastest-growing spiritual destination with 150,000 daily visitors) and the Triveni Sangam (Prayagraj — the Ganga-Yamuna-Saraswati confluence, site of the Maha Kumbh 2025 where over 660 million people gathered, the most-attended event in human history) in a three-day sattvic journey through the Uttar Pradesh spiritual heartland.
- Day 1 begins in Ayodhya by arriving at dawn (the Vande Bharat from Lucknow takes just 40 minutes; overnight trains from Delhi arrive at sunrise).
- Hanuman Garhi Temple (76-step fortress-mandir, the city's protector-deity, traditionally visited before the main shrine) opens at 5 AM — arrive by 6 AM to beat the morning rush.
- Ram Janmabhoomi Temple opens at 7 AM; the prasad-and-darshan queue at the main gate is organised in clear lanes and moves steadily through the complex past the Sabha Mandap, the Kanak Bhavan preview, and the inner sanctum where the Ram Lalla idol stands.
- The Kanak Bhavan Temple (a short walk from the main complex) and the Saryu River front (Ram Ki Paidi ghats) with the nightly aarti at sunset are the afternoon and evening programme.
- Day 2: Prayagraj (about 165 km from Ayodhya, 3.5 hours by cab or 4.5-hour express train via Faizabad Junction).
- The Triveni Sangam boat ride from Sangam Ghat (all morning, ₹250 per boat per hour — negotiate at the ghat) is the essential experience: the boat takes you to the precise confluence point where the brown Ganges, the darker Yamuna, and (according to tradition) the invisible underground Saraswati physically meet — pilgrims take a holy dip at the confluence directly from the boat.
- The Anand Bhavan (Nehru-Gandhi family house-museum, open Tuesday-Sunday 9:30 AM-5 PM) and the Khusro Bagh garden tombs complete the afternoon.
- Day 3: Varanasi (120 km from Prayagraj, 2.5-hour road transfer) for the Dashashwamedh Ghat Ganga Aarti in the evening, completing the UP pilgrimage arc — or return directly to Delhi/Lucknow.
