Prabhu Chaat Bhandar is one of central Delhi's most-loved hidden gems — a small chaat counter on UPSC Lane (next to the Union Public Service Commission building) that has been feeding Delhi's civil-service aspirants, journalists, and lawyers for over four decades. The outlet doesn't look like a restaurant. There is no signage worth mentioning, no seating beyond a few plastic stools, and the kitchen is a single counter with two large iron griddles and a row of steel containers. What this counter produces, however, is some of the most authentic Delhi chaat available anywhere in the city.

எப்படி செல்வது

UPSC Lane, near Union Public Service Commission, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi 110011. 7-minute walk from India Gate via Shahjahan Road. Nearest metro: Central Secretariat (Yellow/Violet Line), 12 minutes by auto-rickshaw (₹70–100).

Pro Tip

Use the public washroom at India Gate or Khan Market before or after — no on-site facility. Skip the lunch rush (1–2:30 PM); evening (5:30 PM) is calmer with fresher chutneys.
