Kinari Bazaar is the historic craft and embroidery market that runs through the heart of Agra's old city, one of the most concentrated traditional textile and jewellery trading zones in the city. "Kinari" refers to decorative borders and trimmings — zari (gold and silver thread) edging, gota-patti ribbon work, and sequined embellishments used in wedding garments, dupattas, and festive clothing. The bazaar has supplied wedding trousseau craftwork to families across the Braj region for centuries and continues to operate as a working craft market rather than a tourist destination, which keeps prices realistic and the atmosphere genuine.

Beyond textile trimmings, Kinari Bazaar extends into adjacent lanes selling imitation jewellery, glass bangles, silver-thread embroidery yardage, and brass hardware for ceremonial items. The lane is particularly animated in the weeks before Diwali and the wedding season when wholesale buyers from surrounding districts crowd the narrow passages.
