Bhikharam Chandmal, one of Agra's oldest sweet-and-namkeen shops with roots in the 1880s, is the city's definitive destination for dalmoth — Agra's signature crunchy spiced snack of fried split moth lentils, cashews, and fried strips, seasoned with cumin, dried ginger, and chilli. Bhikharam's dalmoth has a deep, layered savoury character that packaged versions cannot replicate. The shop also produces petha, sohan halwa (clarified butter fudge), and gajak (sesame-jaggery brittle in winter). Vacuum-sealed gift packs keep well for three weeks — the best edible souvenir from Agra.
